as a clinical neuropsychologist in a tertiary hospital in Singapore. This is me in scrubs – as a member of the awake brain surgery team of my institution, I get to be up close and personal with the most fascinating organ of the human body.

While “awakes” are interesting, the bulk of my practice consists of seeing patients in the outpatient clinic and sometimes on the inpatient ward. A good proportion of my time is spent doing research, with clinical education rounding up my portfolio.

I undertook my training in the UK, Australia, Italy, and France. I continue to learn and grow on the job. I hold endorsements by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP).

It has taken a number of years for me to get here, but the journey has been worth every minute.

“Every day I get to do what I love.”

During my decade of training, I have been fortunate to come across numerous mentors and benefactors who have shaped me into the practitioner I am today. My patients have taught me priceless lessons – it has been a privilege to work with them and to be given a front seat to the inner workings of their brain and mind.

I took this “someday” photo on a crisp winter morning while studying in Australia, waiting for the day I would become Dr Minn. Having received so much, I feel strongly about giving back now that I am in the position to. So here I am, contributing in my own small way to the field of neuropsychology in Asia and beyond. I hope my sharing helps inspire the next generation of neuropsychologists.
